Orkney Classic Motor Show – Terms & Conditions

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August 2024 at The Auction Mart

The following conditions apply to this event

  1. Exhibits should be on site by 12 noon on Saturday and by 10.00am on Sunday
  2. All exhibitors/ticket holders must comply with the safety conditions in operation for the rally and instructions of the Marshals on duty, if not exhibitors could be refused entry or asked to leave the show
  3. Static exhibits must not be moved between 12 noon Saturday and 5.00pm Sunday
  4. A 5MPH speed limit will be in operation in all display areas during the period of the show
  5. All signage must be followed instructing Entries, Exits and one way systems
  6. In the interests of their safety children must not be allowed to ride on tractors or machinery
  7. During the event, no vehicle shall be driven within the show area except when its movement is permitted by a Marshal
  8. This event may be filmed and/or photographed. Attendance at our events affirms your consent to be used as a member of the show audience
  9. Neither Orkney Vintage Club or the venue owners accept responsibility for any property lost or damaged at the event and as a result cannot be held liable
  10. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger incidental to the event whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual event; including any death, personal injury, loss, damage or liability
  11. All vehicles and exhibits are displayed at the owners risk

Insurance & Legal

  1. All moving or working exhibits must have public liability insurance for this event with a minimum indemnity of £1m this is the usual amount offered by your own insurance but best to check your policy if in doubt
  2. The Road Traffic Act applies to all areas on the Rally Field; therefore, driving of vehicles without insurance, MOT or a valid driving license cannot be permitted
  3. Orkney Vintage Club members are covered by the Club insurance for static exhibits only and a cover note can be requested from the secretary

Liability

  1. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers of this event, its officers, helpers or any person acting on their instructions or behalf from any claim for accidental damage or personal injury whatsoever, or death howsoever caused by my exhibit and my participation in this event
